CABS Cricket.....

The CABS cricket seems to have reached a different level... With 4 days of play in the last week alone(4 out of 5 working days)...there is a definite leap in the standard of the game...with rivals teaming up to occupy the Original pitch..the new pitch, cabs team discovered a less explored area of the campus and has now become its sole property...no one else to disturb the cabs team...lollz..

Nowadays, every match is high-scoring...the trend is different...there were times when neither could go past 40 runs in 10 overs..But now every innings sums up to above 60 in 10 overs..The match of the week is the one which drew with each team scoring 62 runs in 10 overs.. another remarkable improvement in CABS cricket is the brand new LIMITED OVERS TEST MATCH....the first episode of the match was played on Friday...and it proved to be action-packed...with the chasing team needing 4 runs from 2 balls it was the skillful VIRU SEELAN who hit the winning shot through the off side with a stunning shot from a good delivery from VASANTH LEE..another highlight of the week was one of the innings by none other than YOUSUF ...that was one of his best and that was a very brave knock....another match worth
mentioning here is the one in which our CAPTAIN(REP) hit 6's in 3 consecutive balls....

Other important batsmen of the week worth mentioning are HARI WARNE an MAHENDRA SINGH PATTU....for their knocks in several matches...and ofcourse our very own MUKESH JONTY SINGH is still awesome in the field and in his accurate throws....
The others name which are not mentioned here need not worry....its virtually impossible to mention everyones name here...thanks everyone for your dedication, hard work and sportmanship and above all for your determination to play by bunking classes..lollz...we hope to take CABS cricket to a different dimension in the days to come...thanks for your cooperation...

India triumphs...

After the dramatic conclusion of the Sydney test, the cricketing arena has heated up. With Symonds' complaining against Harbhajan of racially abusing him, all that has followed has been sheer action. There was a hearing atleast for the name sake. Harbhajan was represented by Captain Kumble and Sachin, who was present at the field with him, when he was complianed to hav e abused the gorilla(correction, symonds).
The hearing was officiated by the match referee Mike Procter, and without any audio or video evidence and even the umpires finding their way out of the controversy(by saying "we heard no damn thing") the referee acting on the testimonies of Mathew Hayden and the clear best actor of 2008 Michael Clarke..the referee banned Bhajji for 3 test matches. The credit goes to BCCI for putting its foot down and protesting against the ICC. The result the ICC has temporarily give a go- ahead signal to bhajji, stating that he could play until charges against him are confirmed by a higher probe appointed by the ICC. Also the controversial umpire Steve Buckner has been dropped by the ICC from umpiring the rest of the matches of the series. All this could not just get India its lost prestige and morale. The one thing that India can do is try to speak with the Bat and the ball.
The verdict however gives India something to cheer about. Nevertheless, it was Steve Buckner who was "THE MAN OF THE MATCH" at Sydney. Hats off BUCKNER & CO.........
